As part of the Main & Spring Forward Program, the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) added delineators to Main and Spring Streets to separate bike lanes from vehicle traffic lanes. As of today, a total of 38 delineators have been installed. To prevent motor vehicles from parking within designated bike lanes and for the safety of cyclists, pedestrians and motorists, LADOT plans to install 83 more bringing the total to 121 delineators.
Effective February 18th, 2019, the Los Angeles Department of Transportation will follow a new pricing structure for delineator removal on Main & Spring streets in Downtown Los Angeles.
Special pricing has been created for film industry-related activities permitted via FilmLA when activity call for delineator removal and replacement.
Affected areas include: Spring Street from 3rd to 9th Streets and Main Street from Cesar Chavez Avenue to 9th Street.
The Pricing Structure for Delineator Removal is a follows:
-$115 per delineator for the first 5 delineators in an individual permit request
-$40 per delineator (reduced rate) for the next 6-50 delineators in the same request.
-Per LADOT policy, any request above 50 delineators must be contracted out to private or outside contractors.
-LADOT will continue to assist with requests under 50 delineators in a timely manner.
-Delineators within 20′-0″ of intersections (measured from back of crosswalk) may be removed on a case by case basis; LADOT’s preference is to retain, if possible, for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and motorists.
