The Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) in partnership with Councilmember Jose Huizar’s ‘DTLA Forward Initiative’ will begin the implementation of the Complete Streets project in Downtown L.A. where construction will take place along Spring Street from 1st to 8th Streets.
The construction will improve intersections and crossings for pedestrians, upgrade existing bicycle lanes, reduce bus-bicycle conflict by relocating bicycle lanes to the left side of the street, maximize parking/loading, and increase bus efficiency. Work on the project will start with Spring Street, beginning January 15, 2018, and is set to continue through May 2018. Construction on Main Street will follow, tentatively, starting in May, 2018.
Expect traffic delays during this time with parking restrictions from 9:00AM-3:00PM in affected areas.

- Spring St & 3rd St: 3/13 – 3/15

- Spring St & 7th St: 1/26 – 4/5
- Spring St & 8th St: 4/6 – 4/11
