FilmLA is again accepting requests to film and/or park on Burbank Unified School District (BUSD) property, following the reopening of district facilities to filming effective May 28, 2021.
No film permits have been issued, and no filming on-location has been allowed on BUSD property since Safer at Home orders were enacted in March of 2020 to slow the spread of COVID-19. All BUSD properties are now online for filming with the exception of Horace Mann (preschool).
Reopening BUSD property to filming is predicated on the film industry’s adherence to specific, County-issued health protocols currently in effect. Those protocols include social distancing, use of personal protective equipment, strict sanitation standards, and regular testing requirements. Restrictions on specific location use, etc., may also apply.
Together with other important resources, the County’s health orders are available for review online via FilmLA’s COVID-19 Resource Center, which we encourage you to review regularly for updates.
The BUSD Filming / Parking Production License application, as well as insurance requirements and associated fees can be found on the FilmLA website under Area Requirements, and our School Specialists are standing by at 213.977.8600 to answer any additional questions.
