When film & television shows wrap, they leave behind set pieces that still have a lot of life left in them. Most production houses, including Fox Studios, have teams dedicated to set recycling and industry sustainability and these teams went to work trying to find a home for the set pieces, furniture and decorations from the recently wrapped American Crime Story: Versace.
Many of the very well-made set decor was donated to Habitat for Humanity of LA ReStores. The donation was made during the holiday season which brought out many volunteers to help pack up the donation from the Fox Studios Warehouse.
“After American Crime Story: Versace wrapped this season, our team had to find a home for many of the gently used set pieces. Fox is dedicated to keeping as many reusable items out of landfills as possible”, said Lisa Day, Director of Sustainability at Fox Studios. “So we decided to donate much to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles ReStores. It’s reassuring to know these set pieces will be given a second life and support a great cause!”
Thank you to Lisa Day and Fox Studios for the incredible donation from the set of American Crime Story: Versace! Your generous donations will help build homes, community and hope.
