FilmL.A. recently completed a major expansion of LocoScout, our public property location database. During the past few weeks, FilmL.A. employees added dozens of new properties to LocoScout’s portfolio, bringing the total number of featured locations very close to 400.
Among the new additions are complete property portfolios for FilmL.A.’s newest school district clients, including the Glendale Unified School District, La Canada Unified School District, Lawndale Elementary School District, Norwalk – La Mirada Unified School District and San Gabriel Unified School District.
We’ve also added a host of new municipal facilities, including the L.A. Convention Center, El Pueblo de Los Angeles, South LA and Hollywood City Hall, four regional airports, two LAPD Jails and a handful of vacant government-owned buildings.
Finally, filmmakers can now use LocoScout to browse close to 60 new crew parking and base camp opportunities, including City and County-owned parking lots and structures, and open areas beneath DWP transmission lines.
Searching for a prize public location has never been easier, since LocoScout displays multiple photos of each property alongside its address, Thomas Guide grid, contact information and basic fees. Photos may be downloaded to the user’s computer or emailed to others directly through the system.
