Please be advised that on Monday, May 1st, 2023, the annual Los Angeles May Day March will result in many street closures in Downtown Los Angeles. The event will feature two marching routes and two assembly areas for rallies. Boundaries for street closures are Cesar Chavez to the north, Pico to the south, Alameda to the east, and Figueroa to the west.
As of now, street closures are the only restrictions to be enforced by LADOT. However, FilmLA advises against filming activity and parking on private property within these boundaries in order to avoid problems with sound and location access. Please know that the streets within these boundaries may be entirely inaccessible during this time and that traffic congestion is anticipated for the Downtown area in general.
