Awareness of the importance of California’s filmed entertainment industry continues to grow!

On February 19, 2014, California State Assemblymembers Mike Gatto (D-Los Angeles) and Raul Bocanegra (D-Pacoima) introduced Assembly Bill 1839, which would expand and improve upon California’s current Film and Television Tax Credit Program. The bill was co-sponsored by 59 additional state legislators, 50 in the Assembly and 9 in the Senate.

Needless to say, we’re excited. The full text of a news release about the action is linked to below, as is a statement about the bill from the California Film and Television Production Alliance.

Appropriate points of contact for media follow up are referenced in each document.
