A film crew prepares to film a scene for new ABC television series In the Motherhood at 2nd and Irving in Hancock ParkFilmL.A. has expanded its filming eNotification program to cover residents and property owners in Hancock Park and Windsor Square.

As a supplement to FilmL.A.’s standard door-to-door notification service, the new program will offer residents in these areas a convenient new way to stay up-to-date about filming in their neighborhoods.

eNotification participants opt-in to receive advance Notices of Filming via email.  Neighborhood notification is a vital part of the film permit process, as it helps ensure that on-location production can occur with minimal community impact.

“Information is knowledge is power.  I’m glad that FilmL.A. is using all forms of communication to keep residents informed of filming in their neighborhoods,” said Councilmember Tom LaBonge of the new program.  “Using eNotification is a smart way to do business.”

Since introducing the program in 2006, eNotification has been successfully used in neighborhoods such as downtown Los Angeles, the San Pedro Business District and Westwood Village.  More than 670,000 Notices have been distributed to individuals on our various lists; the Hancock Park and Windsor Square additions bring the total number of program areas to ten.
