FilmLA to Discontinue Permit Coordination for Angeles National Forest

Effective April 3, 2020, FilmLA will discontinue coordination and delivery of Special Use Permits for filming in the Angeles National Forest – San Gabriel Mountains National Monument. 

Filming inquiries and applications for permission to film on Forest land on or after that date should be directed to the local Forest Service Office:

Although use of Forest property for filming purposes remains possible at this time, filmmakers should note that highway, roads, and trails in the Angeles National Forest are handled at the federal, state, county and city levels of government.

Filming use of roads maintained the County of Los Angeles are subject to both Forest approval and County permit requirements; County-level permissions are unavailable from FilmLA while state, county and city Safer at Home orders are in effect to limit the spread of COVID-19.
