The Film Unit of the City of Los Angeles Fire Department has asked FilmLA to inform film industry customers of coming changes to the Department’s schedule of fees. The new LA City Fire rates will apply to all City permit applications as follows:
- UFSO RATE, 10/10/23: For all filming requiring supervision by a Uniformed Fire Safety Officer (UFSO), the hourly rate charged for Fire Department personnel will increase from $120 per hour to $122 per hour, with a four-hour minimum.
- SPOT CHECK FEE, 11/1/23: All film permit applications with first activity dates of 11/01/23 and beyond for filming in the City of Los Angeles will be assessed a Fire Department Film Spot Check Fee of $271 per permit (formerly $85).
