FilmL.A. staff members can frequently be found walking neighborhoods throughout the region. However, four of our employees recently completed a 26.2-mile trek through Los Angeles’ neighborhoods as part of the L.A. Marathon, held May 25, 2009.
We congratulate Donita Booker, notification coordinator; Rory Burton, field service representative; Hans Groszkruger, production coordinator; and Todd Lindgren, vice president of communications for crossing that finish line after many hours of exertion.
Each of them began training many months before the race and logged mile upon mile to build endurance necessary to complete the grueling distance. Each had the desire to set the goal of finishing and the ability to fulfill it. They were joined by 14,227 other runners who crossed the finish line.
“It was such a cool experience being a part of something so big. You run with thousands of others, but you run only against yourself,” said Donita Booker.
