The Metropolitan Transit Authority (METRO) has informed FilmLA of a street restoration project that will affect the 1st Street and Alameda areas in Downtown.
METRO’s street restoration project began January 10 and will continue for approximately nine months. See below for a schedule of activity:
- 1st Street/Vignes/Alameda: A full westbound street closure along 1st Street from Vignes to Alameda Street, will remain in effect through April 24, 2020.
- Weekend Closures: (Friday 9pm – Monday 4am): January 24, 31, February 7, March 27, April 3, 10, 24, May 1 and August 28.
- Additional Closures: 1st Street from Central Avenue to Alameda, April 27 through August 31
Because these closures will have a great impact on road travel, requests for full/directional closures of the 4th Street Bridge will not be allowed during street restoration work.
