5-Month Full Closure of 6th Street Between Flower and Hope Starts June 3rd

FilmLAProduction Alerts

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority (METRO) has informed FilmL.A. that there will be a five-month full closure of 6th street in downtown Los Angeles between Flower and Hope streets that will begin Saturday, June 3, 2017.

During the closure, work crews will perform roadway removal, utility relocation and beam installation work required for the Regional Connector Project.  The closure will also shut down southbound I-110 6th Street off-ramp and reduce the northbound 6th Street off-ramp from two lanes to one lane between Figueroa and Flower streets. Please take note of the following detours:

Detours:

  • Southbound freeway traffic will detour via 4th Street off-ramp to Grand Avenue and then back to 6th Street.
  • Northbound I-110 motorists should use the 9th Street off-ramp as an alternative to avoid long delays.
  • Eastbound 6th Street thru traffic will detour south on Bixel Street, east on 7th Street, north on Olive Street and then back to 6th Street.

If traveling on the I-110 to or from DTLA during the closure, make sure to plan ahead and allow for extra time.
