On Sunday, December 10th, 2017, the Metropolitan Transit Authority (METRO) will host CicLAVia – Iconic Wilshire Blvd. Beginning at 9 am, area streets along Wilshire Blvd. between Western Ave. and Spring St. and Spring St. from Wilshire Blvd. to 4th St. will be closed to vehicular traffic to allowing access to pedestrians and cyclists. Intended to create a stronger sense of community in the Iconic Wilshire area. CICLAVIA closes streets for residents to run, walk, bicycle, or skate upon, limiting their availability for motor vehicles.
Filmmakers should be aware of street closures and crossing points along the event route (see the map below) and discuss potential conflicts with FilmL.A. when applying for permits to film in the vicinity.
Even those not filming in the event area should take traffic impacts into consideration. Road closures will begin as early as 6 a.m. and will remain in place until approximately 3:30 p.m.
