FilmLA, the City and the County of Los Angeles will be closed on Friday, Friday December 24 and Friday December 31 in observance of the Christmas and New Years holidays. In addition, FilmLA will observe holiday hours of operation as follows:
- Monday, December 20: 9am – 4pm
- Tuesday, December 21: 9am – 4pm
- Wednesday, December 22: 9am – 4pm
- Thursday, December 23: 9am – 2pm
- Friday, December 24: CLOSED
- Monday, December 27: 9am – 4pm
- Tuesday, December 28: 9am – 4pm
- Wednesday, December 29: 9am – 4pm
- Thursday, December 30: 9am – 2pm
- Friday, December 31: CLOSED

PORT OF LOS ANGELES: The Wharfinger office will be closed and unable to process film permit approvals during the week of December 20. Also, only a skeleton crew will be available the week of December 27. Filmmakers are urged to plan around this schedule as no last minute or rush approvals will be allowed.
LOS ANGELES UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT (LAUSD): District properties will be closed and unavailable for filming use during the school shutdown period, from December 23, 2021 – January 3, 2022. District staff will be unable to review and approve requests to film during this time. School will not be in session during winter recess, which lasts from December 20, 2021 – January 7, 2022. Those who anticipate filming in early January should file requests well before the shutdown period begins in December.
