On Sunday, March 19, four FilmL.A. employees took to the streets of Los Angeles to take part in the Honda L.A. Marathon. FilmL.A. Vice Presidents Susan Angrisano and Todd Lindgren, Monitor Adam Meyer and Accounting Assistant Bryan Gonzalez arrived at Dodger Stadium early Sunday morning prepared to see the Westside by foot and experience the jubilant atmosphere of a spectator-lined course extending from downtown L.A. to the Santa Monica pier.

Bedecked in their FilmL.A. running jerseys — yet prepared to run in trash bags if predicted thundershowers materialized — our group joined 23,000 other thrilled marathoners in appreciating that the weather was perfectly cool, sunny and rain-free.

In an unbelievable coincidence, Todd and Bryan finished within 17/100ths of a second of one another, though they started their runs minutes apart and didn’t see one another during the course of the race. Had they been running side-by-side, they would have had a photo finish!

Susan Angrisano, who this year made her first marathon attempt, set a personal distance record.

“While I didn’t make it across the finish line, I was thrilled to run farther than I ever have. The spirit of the crowd and the whole experience made me proud of my hometown,” said Angrisano. “I’ll be back out there next year as part of Team FilmL.A.,” she added.
