For a picture-perfect location, Go Metro.Remember that great scene in Speed where the hero and heroine ride the subway car as it launches up out of the tunnel onto Hollywood Blvd?  How about The Italian Job, where Mini Coopers drive down the stairs into a subway station and onto the tracks?  Still yet, did you like that intense scene in Volcano where the lava flows into the subway tunnel, overtaking a car?

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) has a long history of involvement with the film industry.  Metro film assets such as its buses, trains, stations and corporate offices have been featured in movies, television shows and commercials.

The folks at Metro are experienced in hosting filming and hope filmmakers will utilize one of the transportation agency’s filmable assets in their next film project.  To this end, Metro and FilmL.A. are teaming up to familiarize filmmakers with the Metro resources at their disposal.  For instance, Metro may be able to provide crew vehicle or base camp parking at one of its many lots throughout the region.

Beginning in August, FilmL.A.’s website, www.filmla.com, will begin showcasing some of Metro’s finest filmable properties.  Make sure to visit FilmL.A. and www.metro.net for more information about how Metro can help you with your next project.
